Matic offers different options to process payments, but before any transaction can be executed against the gateways it is necessary to tokenize and store the information of the payment methods to be used. Additionally we must ensure that we comply with the technical and operational standards dictated by the PCI, to secure and protect the cardholder data (CHD) that during its transmission. In order to comply with PCI requirements, we perform a process of encryption and tokenization of the data, also ensuring that such information does not touch the servers your servers.
Tokenization
Matic allows you to tokenize your customer’s cards so you can securely use them in future operation without having to make that the customers need to re-enter their sensitive data.
Matic will encrypt the data entered by the user to provide protection; moreover, Matic performs gateway agnostic tokenization; which basically means that you only tokenize the card once and use it with any of the available gateways.
With the two previous processes (encryption and tokenization) Matic safeguards your sensitive data, preventing your data from reaching the application, thus decreasing your PCI load.

Matic helps to decrease your PCI burden providing solutions to merchants to quickly start receiving payments without worrying about PCI related security actions.
To control the secure storage and management of CHDs, Matic offers three ways to obtain the data and tokenize it. The first two ways are through simple integration with the Auth Matic and Speed Matic services respectively, the third way is by using the Quick payment functionality through the Matic portal.
